The thought of collapse is with us all and it is realistic at differing times and in differing ways. Some even cheer for it. But what happens when a collapse hits? What does it look like to rebuild or to recalibrate the old into the new? This podcast is a thought exercise into envisioning what that nascent economy might look like and not just the monetary considerations but the power dynamics. How society. Might reconstitute itself.

Share far and wide. This is amazing.

Wonder if the collapse happens in real time will be if we take out loans in other currency not USD denominated or we open ourselves to a constitutional convention given who controls the "Electorial" rubber stamp or will it happens if the United Sheeps of America see the herders for what they are and take real actions.

Brett Scott is the master of monetary metaphors! His essays & videos have taught me so much, and this interview is no exception.

This was fantastic! I could have listened to many more hours of this one! Perhaps Brett could come back for a part II after he watches the film and do a deeper dive on some of the specifics?

Topics: the mechanisms of collapse (war, financial meltdown, environmental chaos/population displacement, etc.), doomsday preppers storing gold and buying property in New Zealand, the zombie apocalypse, etc.

I'm not, unfortunately. I think about it often. Cheers from the US!

No worries, I'll be moving to Austin next year to reunite with my family. The housing market might be bad here in Auckland but in the rural areas—and especially in Christchurch—is better. But it is just kinda racist and conservative if you don't look white or have a non-British accent.
