I'm a bit late to the punch here, but will weigh in anyway.
My one criticism here is that I think the relationship between Israel and the US is better explained by looking at the ways in which the political elite in both countries overlap, as well as the way in which Israeli security services are embedded into the American ones. While I agree with Hamza that Israel is used to bludgeon the surrounding region into submission to American Empire, I'm skeptical that this approach is the best for to empire management; the political influence of the neocons locks the US into this approach and serves to narrow the options that are on the table.
Other than that it is hard to argue with anything Hamza says in my opinion; I found the relationship between Algeria and Vietnam to be very interesting. He is always a great guest and I hope you have him back on again in the future.
